Edinburgh was selected this year to represent Scotland in the large city category of the Britain in Bloom competition 2009. And we were delighted that the Council  included Hopetoun Crescent Garden in its selection of  parks and gardens chosen to represent the city. (You may have noticed the Edinburgh in Bloom logo near the central gate.)   In the end the winner turned out to be Croydon but Edinburgh was awarded a Silver Gilt certificate as runner up.
